Over 30 years ago, Hiba launched a small business selling clothes for kids, a charming idea that led to the name Koala. What started as a passion project evolved over the years, and in 2020, her daughter Dayane made a bold move. She left her 9-to-6 job to join her mother, and together they began a new chapter, designing and manufacturing their own fashion brand, DHD.
While Dayane brought her creative vision to life through design and finishing touches, Hiba took charge of the operations and logistics. At the same time, Dayane began showcasing their pieces on Instagram, taking over the social media side of the business. Through authentic content and a personal connection with their audience, she grew the page by over 400%
It hasn’t always been easy, like many Lebanese businesses, we’ve faced tough times, especially during the recent war in 2024. But resilience is in our roots, and every challenge has only made us stronger. Working together turned out to be the best decision.
What started as a single shop has now grown into a thriving business, with a fourth location on the way.
